A Chamonix travel poster looking up the valley: timber chalets and a church steeple in the near ground, a stream running white over rock at the bottom edge, and behind them the glacier tongue and the granite spires of the Mont Blanc massif.
About the artwork
The most layered composition in the series — five distinct depth planes stacked from the stream at your feet to the summit ridge. The palette is cool and green-leaning: pale glacier blue and snow white above, pine and moss green through the middle, and warm timber brown with small rust-red autumn shrubs in the village. The glacier is drawn as fractured horizontal bands so it reads as ice rather than snowfield, and the rock spires are cut with hard diagonal facets. Flat vector illustration, dense with mark-making. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with France beneath, held inside a thin white margin. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Real alpine scale. The chalets are small on purpose — that is what makes the massif behind them read as enormous.
- Green rather than blue. Most mountain prints go cold and blue. The pine and moss here keep it warm enough for a living room.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This is the cabin print of the collection. It belongs on wood — panelled walls, exposed beams, anything with a warm grain — and it is one of the few in the series that survives a busy room, because the composition already has so much going on that it does not ask for empty space around it. In a natural oak frame it disappears into a timber wall in the best way. Wants scale: 24" x 36" and up so the glacier detail stays readable.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? This one rewards scale — 24" x 36" or larger keeps the glacier and the chalet detail separate. Below 16" x 24" the middle distance compresses.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Is Mont Blanc in the image? The massif above Chamonix fills the upper half, with the glacier running down toward the valley floor.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
