A Cappadocia travel poster at first light: dozens of hot air balloons stacked from the horizon to the top of the frame, and beneath them the pale volcanic spires and scrubby ridges of the valley catching a low, warm sun.
About the artwork
Illustrated with a printmaker's line — the rock is built from thousands of short hatching strokes rather than flat fill, which is what gives the tuff its chalky, eroded texture and lets every fairy chimney keep its own cap of harder stone. Depth is handled by scale alone: balloons near the horizon are barely dots, the two in the upper right are large enough to show their gore panels and basket. The palette is warm sand, apricot and bone for the ground, deep blue for the sky, with the balloons carrying the only saturated reds and yellows in the frame. A rust-coloured flowering shrub in the lower left is the single note of foreground colour. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Turkey beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The moment people book the trip for. Balloons at dawn over the valley, not a generic desert view.
- Warm neutral base, bright accents. The sand tones sit quietly in a room and the balloons do the talking.
- Detail all the way to the horizon. The hatching keeps the rock interesting at close range.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Sand, apricot and deep blue is a warm scheme that belongs in living rooms and hallways rather than cool bathrooms. It sits beautifully on clay, oatmeal and terracotta walls, and next to rattan, leather and terracotta pots. Natural oak and espresso frames both work; black is too hard against the chalky rock. Hang it where morning light reaches it — the palette was built for warm light.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Where is the view from? A ridge above the valley floor at sunrise, looking out over the rock formations with the balloon fleet already up.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
