A Cape May New Jersey poster that walks you along a shaded sidewalk past the painted Victorian houses. A coral gingerbread porch fills the right foreground, then a mint-green gable, a lavender turret and a run of paler houses step away down the block, all set behind a white picket fence and a line of clipped boxwood, with a thin strip of sea visible at the far end of the street.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with crisp edges and very fine white line work for the fretwork, balusters and bargeboards. The colour is the point: salmon and coral, seafoam and sage green, soft lavender, powder blue and cream, every one of them trimmed in white, against a saturated cobalt sky with no clouds at all. Shade trees on the left throw dappled shadow across a pale concrete walk and a green verge, and terracotta steps lead up to the nearest porch. The type reads CAPE MAY above NEW JERSEY in white capitals. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Painted Ladies in full — five or six houses, each in a different pastel, all in one frame.
- Detail that rewards a close look — the white gingerbread trim is drawn line by line.
- Strong perspective — the sidewalk and fence pull the eye straight down the block to the water.
- Jersey Shore memory — a specific street rather than a generic beach scene.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The pastels need a quiet background, so white, cream or a pale grey wall serves it best, and the plain white wall in the first photograph above is exactly right. The sage green room also works, picking up the mint gable. Skip a busy patterned wall. A white or light oak frame keeps the seaside feeling; black sharpens the architecture and cools the pastels down.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The fretwork detail is worth space, so 24" x 36" or larger above a bed or console. In a bathroom, entry or gallery wall, 12" x 18" and 16" x 24" both work.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship rolled and unframed. Matte canvas arrives stretched and ready to hang, and framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? The printed text is CAPE MAY with NEW JERSEY beneath it, in white capitals in the upper sky. No street name or house name appears on the sheet.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
