A Burgos travel poster looking down across the square in late afternoon: a wide pale stone plaza in the foreground, the Gothic cathedral filling the right of the frame with its two openwork spires, and the roofs of the old town falling away to a hazy plain beyond.
About the artwork
The plaza does most of the work. It is drawn as a grid of large flagstones in cream, sand and warm grey, with long cool blue shadows raking in from the left, and that empty foreground is what gives the cathedral its scale. The building itself is patient work: two lace-like spires with pinnacles and tracery, a lantern tower, a rose window, gables, and a run of flying buttresses along the flank, all in bleached limestone with the shadowed faces in blue-grey. On either side ordinary buildings close the space, terracotta pantile roofs over cream facades with iron balconies. Past them the town becomes small orange roofs, then a flat blue-grey plain and low hills under an even blue sky. A stone balustrade with round finials crosses the lower left. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Spain beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Empty foreground, tall subject. The bare plaza is what makes the spires feel as big as they do.
- Tracery drawn in full. Pinnacles, the rose window and the buttresses hold up close.
- Cream, sand and terracotta. A warm neutral print with just enough blue in the shadows.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This is one of the easier prints to place because the palette is close to plaster and stone. It suits white, limewash, oatmeal and warm grey walls, and looks settled beside travertine, rattan, aged brass and light oak. Terracotta accents in a rug or a pot echo the roofs. Natural wood frames keep it warm; a white frame lets the stonework stay pale. Pair it with the other Spanish city views along a stair wall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Where is the view taken from? From above the square on the town side, looking across the flagstones at the cathedral flank and its two openwork spires.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
