This Buenos Aires Argentina travel poster looks down the length of the widest avenue in the city. In the foreground a blue-domed corner tower rises over pale rooftops, then lane after lane of black-and-yellow taxis run away from you between planted green medians. The white Obelisco stands at the centre, and the grid spreads to a hazy horizon under a bright cyan sky.
About the artwork
Flat vector illustration with crisp geometric edges and thousands of tiny repeated shapes, the cars and rooftops reduced to blocks of colour. The palette pairs a strong cyan sky and pale ice-blue facades with terracotta red roofs, olive street trees and the yellow of the taxi roofs, which is the brightest note in the frame. Type is set across the sky in a wide condensed sans serif: BUENOS AIRES above a smaller ARGENTINA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The obelisk as anchor — the single white shaft holds the middle of a very busy picture, so the print never turns into noise.
- Yellow that carries a room — hundreds of taxi roofs read as one warm gold line running through cool blues.
- A city seen from above — the aerial angle shows the avenue, the medians and the rooftop grid at once.
- Named on the artwork — BUENOS AIRES and ARGENTINA are printed in the cyan sky band.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The cyan and yellow do best on something plain: chalk white, warm cream or a soft grey-blue wall. On a charcoal or navy wall the taxis glow and the print becomes the focal point of the room. Black or espresso frames echo the dark window lines in the artwork, while natural oak softens it. It suits a home office, a hallway or a study, and sits well over a walnut desk or a mid-century sideboard.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What is the white monument in this print? The Obelisco, the tall plain shaft that stands in the middle of the city's widest avenue. In the artwork it is drawn from above, so you see it against the traffic lanes and green medians rather than from street level, with the tiled rooftops of the surrounding blocks around it.
What size should I get? Above a sofa or bed, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" holds the wall. For a desk, shelf or gallery grouping, 12" x 18" and 16" x 24" are the easiest to place.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas arrive unframed. The framed canvas option adds a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
