A Nantucket lighthouse poster of Brant Point Light, the squat shingled tower that marks the harbour entrance. It sits low on its sandspit at the end of a white boardwalk, weathered pilings breaking the water in the foreground, while a gaff-rigged sloop with a pale canvas sail slides across the channel behind it.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with soft tonal banding rather than hard graphic blocks, which gives the whole scene a hazy morning feel. The palette is muted and cool: sage grey sky brushed with apricot and cream cloud streaks, dusty teal and slate water, tan sand, and silvered driftwood grey in the pilings. The tower itself is drawn dark against the sky, shingle courses visible on the taper, with a black lantern room, a railed gallery and a ball finial on the roof. Distant masts sit on the horizon line. Type is a white sans serif reading NANTUCKET over MASSACHUSETTS. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The ferry view — Brant Point is the first and last thing you see arriving on the island, drawn from the water side.
- Quiet colour — nothing shouts. The muted sage and teal read as calm rather than decorative nautical.
- Working harbour detail — the boardwalk, the old pilings and the rigged sloop are all there, not just a lighthouse on an empty shore.
- Fits a coastal room without kitsch — no anchors, no rope borders, no red and navy stripes.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The sage, apricot and teal here are almost a room palette on their own. It belongs on the sage green wall in the photographs above, and works equally well on off-white, warm putty or a pale blue-grey bedroom wall. A natural oak or white frame keeps the haze intact; black is heavier than this image wants.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The tones are soft, so scale helps. 24" x 36" over a bed or sofa; 16" x 24" for a bathroom, hallway or a spot beside a window.
Does it come framed? Paper arrives rolled and unframed. Matte canvas is stretched and ready to hang. Framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? The printed type reads NANTUCKET with MASSACHUSETTS beneath it. Brant Point is not named on the artwork itself.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Framed canvas
