A Blue Ridge Parkway travel poster that follows the concrete viaduct as it curves out from the mountainside on slender piers, its guardrail and yellow centre line sweeping through a hillside of gold and scarlet autumn trees, with a lichened granite boulder in the foreground and rank after rank of blue ridges fading out behind.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with hard edges, layered densely: each mass of foliage is built from clustered leaf shapes rather than a single block of colour. The palette is dominated by autumn — marigold, amber and ochre through most of the canopy, crimson and rust in the maple leaves at the top right and lower right, dark bottle green in the conifers — set against cool grey concrete and granite, a soft powder blue in the distant ridges, and a pale blue-grey sky with one white cumulus. Details to look for: the yellow road line and the run of guardrail posts, the arches and piers under the deck, a bare silver birch on the right, and lichen mottling the foreground rock. The printed type reads BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY above NORTH CAROLINA in white capitals. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Peak colour — the drive people plan an entire October weekend around.
- An S-curve to follow — the road carries the eye from the boulder up to the horizon.
- Warm and cool together — marigold canopy against grey concrete and blue ridges.
- Engineering and wilderness — the viaduct is as much the subject as the trees.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Gold and rust are doing the talking, so keep the wall warm and plain: cream, oatmeal, clay or the terracotta room in the photographs above. Walnut and brass sit inside the palette; cool chrome fights it. A single deep green plant echoes the conifers. It suits a living room in a house that gets cold light, or a hallway that needs warming, and it pairs well with other autumn or mountain prints in a stacked pair.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The leaf clusters and guardrail detail need room, so 18" x 27" upward, and 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" above a sofa or a bed.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and rolled. Matte canvas comes stretched and ready to hang, and framed canvas adds a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Will the orange feel too strong? It is warm but muted — ochre and amber rather than neon — and the grey concrete and blue ridges take up enough of the frame to hold it in balance.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
