A mid century abstract wall art print of thick cream bands bending into J and D shapes against a dark charcoal black.
About the artwork
The picture is cropped tight and black covers a little more of it than cream. On the left a straight cream column drops from the top and stops short, and below it a separate cream band curves round into a J at the bottom left. The right side is taken up by one tall crescent that bows outward like a reversed D, almost the full height of the sheet. Narrow black bands run up between the shapes. Everything carries the look of thick, ridged paint with raw canvas showing at the edges, printed flat.
Why you'll love it
- Heavy texture look. The ridged paint effect gives depth on a smooth print.
- Graphic from far away. The big cream curves read clearly across a room.
- Black-led contrast. Darker and moodier than most neutral abstracts.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it where a strong shape is welcome: over a console in an entryway, above a black leather chair or in a dining room with dark wood. A natural or espresso frame suits the warm cream; black makes it one solid graphic block. It works as a pair with a cream-led version of these curved bands from the same range.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the paint texture raised? No. The ridges and canvas weave are part of the printed image; the surface is flat.
Are the shapes letters? No — they are abstract curved bands that happen to recall a J and a D.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
