A Biloxi Mississippi travel poster shot low from the middle of the beachfront highway. Empty asphalt sweeps up from the bottom of the frame in four marked lanes, the cast-iron lighthouse stands alone on its median island with palmettos around the base, and behind it the Mississippi Sound runs flat to the horizon under a deep, cloudless sky.
About the artwork
Very graphic and very still: large flat colour fields, minimal line work, and almost no texture except the sun glitter on the water, which is drawn as hundreds of small white marks. The palette is short and cold. A graded sky from deep petrol at the top to pale cyan at the horizon, navy and slate water, charcoal grey road with cream lane dashes and edge lines, dark forest green shrubs and palm fans on the median, and the tower itself in warm cream and white with a black lantern gallery. The title reads BILOXI in white capitals with MISSISSIPPI below it. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Open-road composition — the lane markings pull your eye straight to the lighthouse; it reads as a drive, not a postcard.
- The lighthouse really does stand in the road — that median position is what makes Biloxi's landmark unlike any other on the Gulf.
- Quiet and modern — flat fields and empty space, so it hangs well in a minimal room where a busy print would fight the wall.
- Cool blue throughout — one of the calmest prints in the series, with no warm colour competing.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — stretched canvas set in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The deep teal sky takes up the top third, so this print carries a room on its own against white, pale grey or greige walls. It is the one in this group that also looks right on a darker wall. Over the oak console in the photographs above it reads clean and modern; black framing suits the graphic style better than gold, and it is an easy choice for a desk wall or home office.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The flat colour fields hold up at any size, so even 11" x 17" works on a small wall. For a desk or sofa wall, 24" x 36" gives the empty road its full effect.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed. Canvas is available stretched, or in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? BILOXI across the top with MISSISSIPPI underneath. The lighthouse is not named in the printed text.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
