An Acadia National Park impasto oil painting, reproduced as a wide 3:2 print: a white lighthouse and red-roofed keeper’s house on rose-pink granite cliffs above a churning turquoise sea, spruce crowding the headland and a blush-pink sky at the horizon.
About the artwork
The cliff and lighthouse rise along the right third to the top edge, balanced by open sea on the left. The palette knife lays the sky in thick flat slabs, cuts the granite into faceted planes and breaks the surf into dabs of turquoise and white. Cadillac Mountain in Acadia is the highest point on the US Atlantic coast.
Why you'll love it
- Knife-cut granite. Every rock face is a chunky plane of rose and slate.
- Room-filling sizes. Eleven wide sizes, up to 54" x 36" on paper and 48" x 32" on canvas.
- Texture without the upkeep. The brushwork is part of the image, so the print surface stays smooth and easy to dust.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Eleven sizes in all, A4 to A1 included: 12" x 8" to 54" x 36".
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Put it where texture reads best, in raking light from a side window. Rose, turquoise and slate pair with whitewashed wood and navy linen; a white or natural frame keeps it coastal.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Which size works above a sofa? For a standard three-seat sofa, 36" x 24" or 48" x 32". The smaller sizes suit a console, a desk or a hallway.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Acadia prints? This is the textured impasto version: a lighthouse on rose granite above a turquoise sea. The smoother classical oil painting is a separate design, as are the vintage travel poster, WPA, screen print, retro, mid-century, panoramic, watercolor, illustrated and landmark Acadia prints.
Is it a real oil painting? No. It is a high-resolution print of an oil painting; the brushwork is part of the image and the surface is smooth.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
