This Winthrop, Washington watercolor print shows Riverside Avenue curving between false-front wooden storefronts with covered boardwalks, balconies and roofs heaped with snow. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the snowy Old West town, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Snow is left as white paper with cool blue-violet shadows, fine brown-grey ink outlines the false fronts, wooden balconies, bridge and fences, and the river carries a transparent ice-blue wash. Snow white, weathered wood brown, deep pine green and ice blue set the palette, with a red horse-drawn sleigh as the accent. The view looks down the street from a hillside above town, with the storefronts in the lower right and the icy meeting of the Methow and Chewuch rivers, a wooden footbridge, bare cottonwoods and ponderosa pines in the middle ground. A snowy slope with pine trunks and a split-rail fence fills the foreground, and North Cascades ridges fade into blue-violet midwinter haze. Golden-brown drips seep from the lower left, with soft speckles around the edge. "WINTHROP" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.

Styling it at home
Snowy whites and cool blues suit a winter-themed entryway, a cabin bedroom or a fireside living room. A cozy gift for Nordic skiers, holiday hosts or someone with fond memories of a North Cascades winter.
Shipping and care

Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Winthrop, Washington? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Winthrop's Riverside Avenue and the rivers below it, made to capture a snowy Old West mood rather than an exact view.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "WINTHROP," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
