A West Lake travel poster from Hangzhou, China, seen through a curtain of weeping willow. Long green branches hang across the top of the frame, a low stone bridge with three arches crosses the far water, and pink lotus flowers open along the near bank.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with layered foliage, in a palette that is almost entirely green and turquoise. Willow fronds hang in strands of lime, jade and olive from a dark branch at the top left, and a second willow leans in from below, its reflection breaking the surface. The lake is a smooth teal plane ruled with ripple lines. A pale grey bridge spans the middle distance with one tall central arch and two lower ones, backed by a dark-eaved pavilion and a slim pagoda on a green hill. Magenta lotus blooms fill the foreground corners. Captioned HANGZHOU above CHINA in white capitals.
Why you'll love it
- A green, garden-like print that feels closer to botanical art than to a city poster.
- Willow at the top and lotus at the bottom give it a natural border, so it needs no mount.
- Museum-grade paper or matte canvas; pigment inks hold the magenta lotus cleanly.
- A restful subject for anyone who likes water, gardens and slow walks.
Where it works at home
All that green suits a bedroom or a bathroom, and any room where you already keep plants. It looks best on a warm white or pale sand wall, beside rattan, cane and unfinished timber.
Sizes and materials
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Thirteen sizes are available, from 8 x 12 inches up to a 30 x 40 inch statement piece, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. Every piece is made to order.
Shipping and care
Each piece is printed and finished after the order is placed, then shipped in protective packaging — paper prints rolled in a rigid tube, canvas and framed canvas boxed with corner guards. Keep the artwork out of direct sunlight and wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Paper prints are best handled by the edges until they are framed.
Questions
Which material should I choose? Paper is the most affordable option and lets you pick your own frame. Matte canvas adds depth and needs no glass. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang and is the usual choice for a feature wall.
Will the colours match what I see on screen? Printing is colour-managed, so the artwork stays very close to the preview. Paper reads slightly softer than canvas, which holds a touch more contrast.
Is the bridge in the artwork a real one? The lake is crossed by causeways carrying low arched stone bridges, and the artwork shows one of them in the middle distance, drawn from that type rather than as a portrait of a single named span.
