This Walla Walla watercolor print shows the red-brick Whitman College Memorial Building with its clock tower, College Creek and vineyards below the Blue Mountains. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Walla Walla, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine brown ink draws the brickwork, round arched windows, stone trim and clock face, with tree canopies layered in green and yellow dabs. Warm brick red, leafy green and creek blue lead the palette, with golden wheat, green vine rows and pink blossoms as accents. The Memorial Building stands right of center with its spired clock tower in the upper third, and a street of brick and Victorian buildings runs along the left. The creek winds through a lawn with a small stone bridge in the foreground, while wheat fields, vineyards and the gentle Blue Mountains sit behind. Full trees and a blooming tree hint at late spring. "WALLA WALLA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Campus clock tower. The red-brick tower with its spired roof and clock face anchors the scene.
- Students on the lawn. Students sit on the grass while a dog walker and a cyclist pass by.
- Wine country backdrop. Rows of vines and golden wheat stretch toward the Blue Mountains.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Brick red and leafy green suit a study, a wine-themed dining room or a home library. It is a natural gift for a Whitman graduate, a parent of a new student or a wine lover who toured the valley.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Walla Walla? No. It is an artistic interpretation, and some details are simplified, such as the wheat fields painted golden rather than in their exact season.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "WALLA WALLA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
