This St. Simons Island watercolor print shows the white St. Simons Lighthouse and its Victorian keepers' house, seen from the pier with the live oaks of Neptune Park and Pier Village along the shore. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the waterfront, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The sound is a turquoise-blue wash with glints of light left as paper, and the white tower is shaded in cool blue-violet. Fine ink picks out the lantern and the Victorian house, Spanish moss hangs in soft gray-green layers, and the left edge and bottom fade into blue and gold washes with small drips. The palette is sound blue, oak green and lighthouse white, accented by weathered pier wood and red roofs. From the pier looking back to shore, the lighthouse with its black lantern stands on the left beside the two-story keepers' house with a red roof, the oaks and Pier Village fill the right, a granite-boulder seawall lines the shore, and the railed pier runs along the lower left. Early spring brings fresh green to the oaks. "ST. SIMONS ISLAND" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Pier-level view. Rods, a bait bucket and anglers on the deck put you right on the St. Simons Pier.
- Pelicans on pilings. Two pelicans perch on wooden posts beside the pier.
- Shrimp boat on the sound. A white shrimp boat with green nets works the water beyond the pier.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Soft blue, green and white fit a coastal living room, a breakfast nook or a bedroom with white shiplap or blue accents. Give it to someone who grew up fishing off the St. Simons Pier or a couple marking a Georgia coast getaway.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of St. Simons Island? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the St. Simons Island waterfront rather than an exact view from the pier.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "ST. SIMONS ISLAND," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
