This Sioux Falls watercolor print shows the tiered Falls of the Big Sioux River in Falls Park, with the Queen Bee Mill ruins, the observation tower and the old hydroelectric plant around them. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Sioux Falls, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The falling water is left as white paper with thin blue-gray strokes for spray and current, and the pink quartzite rock is built from layered pink-brown washes outlined in ink. Pink quartzite, river blue and green lead the palette, with white foam, red brick downtown buildings and purple flowers as accents. The falls stretch across the middle with the highest step slightly right, the stone hydroelectric plant on the right and the mill ruins and steel-frame observation tower on the left. A footbridge and a low downtown skyline sit behind, and pink boulders and a stone stairway with lamp posts fill the foreground. High water and fresh green growth point to late spring, while pink and violet washes drip from the lower left with splatter around a white paper border. "SIOUX FALLS" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.

Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Rosy pink and river blue bring a fresh look to a bedroom, a bathroom or a living room with white, blush or gray accents. It is a cheerful gift for someone moving to South Dakota or a family that loves picnics by the falls.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Sioux Falls? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Sioux Falls that gathers the falls, the mill ruins and downtown into one composed scene.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "SIOUX FALLS," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
