A celestial nursery wall art print lettered "Shoot for the stars aim for the moon", with a wide-eyed crescent moon in a scallop frame. Available in portrait or landscape.
About the artwork
The words "Shoot for the stars aim for the moon" step down the picture like a staircase, with "moon" the largest word at the bottom. An ochre crescent moon with open eyes and lashes peeks in from the left edge, reaching past the frame. Ochre stars sit in the corners. The cream frame has a scalloped cloud edge and sits on wide vertical stripes of brick red and beige. It is a flat digital illustration with hand-lettered words, in a retro typographic style.
Portrait or landscape
Choose the orientation that fits your wall. In the landscape version the moon sits inside the frame on the left and the words spread out across the width.
Why you'll love it
- An encouraging message. "Shoot for the stars aim for the moon" is a hopeful line to grow up with.
- Bold retro stripes. Brick red and beige stripes give it a warm, vintage feel.
- Two orientations. One design in portrait or landscape, so it works above a crib or a wide dresser.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Portrait: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1. Landscape: 12" x 8" through 54" x 36", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. Portrait 12" x 16" to 30" x 40"; landscape 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. Portrait 12" x 16" to 30" x 40"; landscape 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a desk or bed in a nursery that will grow into a big-kid room. Brick red, ochre and navy accents echo the stripes, moon and lettering. A natural wood frame suits the warm retro colours.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the landscape version just the portrait turned sideways? No. It is the same artwork laid out again for a wide frame, so nothing is cut off.
Which word stands out most? "moon" is the largest word, set at the bottom of the staircase of text.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.

- Reads slightly softer than canvas.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
