This Seattle watercolor print shows the Space Needle in front of the downtown skyline, with snow-capped Mount Rainier on the horizon and Elliott Bay below. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Seattle, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Thin ink lines draw the curved steel legs and saucer of the Space Needle and the window grids of the towers. Mount Rainier is left as white paper for snow with violet-blue shadows, and the bottom breaks into green, purple and pink dots with drips at both lower corners. Forest green and Puget Sound blue lead the palette, with white from the tower and peak and orange-red from port cranes and a few maples. The Space Needle stands left of center, Rainier rises on the right horizon, and port cranes line Elliott Bay in the middle ground. The foreground shows the lawn and stone rail of Kerry Park with Queen Anne homes on a steep street, in late summer turning to fall. "SEATTLE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Snowy mountain backdrop. Mount Rainier floats above the skyline in white and soft violet.
- Ferry on the bay. A green and white ferry and a small sailboat cross Elliott Bay.
- Viewpoint visitors. People lean on the stone rail and sit on a bench to take in the view.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Forest green, deep blue and crisp white suit a cabin-style living room, bedroom or home office with natural wood. It is a good gift for a Pacific Northwest transplant or someone who just left Seattle.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Seattle? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Seattle in watercolor style. A few details, like the early fall color on the maples, are softened or adjusted for the painting.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "SEATTLE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
