This Punta Cana watercolor print shows Bávaro beach, a long curve of white sand lined with leaning coconut palms and thatched palapa umbrellas. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of this Dominican Republic coast, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The sea is built in overlapping turquoise bands, with foam left as white paper. The sand is mostly bare paper with pale lilac-gray palm shadows, palm fronds are drawn in fine ink, and the left edge and bottom melt into blue and yellow with small drips at the lower left. Aquamarine sea and palm green lead, with warm white sand, straw-gold palapas and brown coconuts as accents. Seen from the water's edge looking north, the beach runs diagonally into the distance, palms, round thatched umbrellas and huts line the left, and boats float on the right. Fallen coconuts fill the foreground in the sunny dry winter. "PUNTA CANA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Long palm shadows. Palm shadows stretch across the bright sand in the foreground.
- Palapa umbrellas. Round thatched umbrellas and loungers line the beach under the palms.
- Bright, airy feel. Plenty of white space keeps the scene light and relaxed.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".

- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Soft aqua and sandy whites suit a bedroom, a bathroom or a calm living room with linen and rattan. A natural gift for a honeymoon couple or a family who vacations in Punta Cana.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Punta Cana? No. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Bávaro beach. Boats and reef details are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "PUNTA CANA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
