This Puerto Vallarta watercolor print shows the brick bell tower and white crown of the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe above the Malecón and the Bay of Banderas. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Puerto Vallarta, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The red-brown brick tower is painted in warm tones, with fine ink lines on the clock face and an open white crown left as paper. Turquoise waves carry white foam, and the jungle-covered mountains are layered in green and blue-violet. Brick red, whitewashed walls, sea turquoise and forest green lead the palette, with pink bougainvillea and the red and blue of panga boats as accents. The tower, topped by an angel figure, stands left of center and reaches into the upper third, while white houses with tile roofs step up the hill. White arches line the Malecón, rock arches stand offshore at the far right, the Sierra Madre rises behind, and fishermen work on the sand in the dry winter season. "PUERTO VALLARTA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Panga boat scene. Fishermen untangle nets beside a red-and-blue striped panga.
- Pelicans on the beach. Pelicans stand on the sand and glide over the waves.
- Malecón stroll. People walk the seafront under shade umbrellas, framed by tall coconut palms.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Turquoise and brick red suit a beach house, a sunny living room or a bedroom with white linens and natural wood. It makes a fun gift for a couple who honeymooned on the bay or for someone who spends winters in Vallarta.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Puerto Vallarta? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Puerto Vallarta that brings the church, the Malecón and the bay into one watercolor scene.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "PUERTO VALLARTA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
