A black and white Paris cafe woman poster: a photograph of a woman at a sidewalk cafe table in light rain, shot in soft greys and creamy whites.
About the artwork
The camera sits low, level with the round table, so you feel seated beside her as she looks out to the street. An old-fashioned lamppost and a row of buildings on the right pull the eye down the block and into the distance. The wet paving stones catch the light, and the woven rattan chairs add a tight checked pattern up close. Small things carry the mood: leather gloves around the coffee cup, pointed slingback shoes, an awning edge overhead from a classic Paris sidewalk cafe.
Why you'll love it
- A quiet Paris moment. It brings a slow, rainy-morning feeling to a living room or bedroom without any loud color.
- Easy to mix in. The soft monochrome tones sit well next to wood, linen and other black and white photos.
- Made for a travel wall. Group it with city prints from Europe for a gallery wall that tells a trip story.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it over a reading chair or a small bistro table in the kitchen, where the cafe scene feels at home. A natural wood frame warms the grey tones, while a black frame sharpens the wet street. Add a linen throw and a ceramic mug nearby to echo the coffee in her hands.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is there any writing on the photo? Only a cropped bit of lettering on the cafe awning and a partial letter on a window; nothing reads as a full word or slogan.
Is this a photograph or an illustration? It is a black and white photograph, taken outdoors in light rain from table height.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
