This Ogunquit watercolor print shows the Perkins Cove drawbridge raised as a lobster boat slips through, with buoy-covered shacks and crowded docks on either side. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Ogunquit, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The cove water is layered in turquoise and blue with light saved from the paper, and the gray shingled shacks are drawn with fine ink on each row of shingles. Colorful buoys are dotted in orange, red and blue, and the left edge blends pink, yellow and blue with a long orange drip at the lower left and splatter around a white paper border. The wooden drawbridge stands open just right of center with a lobster boat passing below, while people watch from the docks. Lobster traps, buoys and a white boat fill the dock in the lower left, and granite ledges and the open Atlantic sit in the background in late summer. "OGUNQUIT" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Bridge up, boat through. The moment the drawbridge opens is the center of the scene.
- Buoy-covered walls. Shack walls hung with buoys add bright pops of orange, red and blue.
- Lobster traps stacked. Traps and gear piled on the dock give the print a working-harbor feel.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.

- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Sea blue, shingle gray and buoy orange suit a bathroom, a coastal kitchen, a porch room or a kid's room. It is a cheerful gift for someone who summers in Maine or a couple remembering a trip up the coast.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Ogunquit? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Perkins Cove, painted to capture the harbor's bustle rather than an exact view.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "OGUNQUIT," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
