This Norman, Oklahoma watercolor print shows Bizzell Memorial Library at the end of the South Oval on the University of Oklahoma campus, with trees turning gold. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the Oklahoma college town, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Wet patches of gold and orange build the fall trees, and fine brown ink traces pinnacles, pointed windows, rooflines and lampposts. The library stands at the center in red brick with pale limestone trim, flanked by rows of Collegiate Gothic halls. The long lawn and tree-lined walk lead straight toward it, split into green panels with light paths left as paper. Gold, orange and lawn green lead the palette with brick red, deep red shrubs and cream stone trim. A broad pale sky and soft drips at the edges keep the scene open and airy. "NORMAN" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Symmetrical approach. The long Oval leads the eye straight down the center to the library entrance.
- Gold tree rows. Two lines of golden trees and lampposts frame the lawn on both sides.
- Students on the grass. Small groups sit on the lawn panels while a cyclist crosses the walk.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Gold, rust and brick red bring warmth to a library nook, a home office or a living room with tan and cream textiles. It works as a graduation gift or for an alum who remembers fall in Norman.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Norman, Oklahoma? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Bizzell Memorial Library and the South Oval, with the halls and trees simplified for the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "NORMAN," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
