A pretty, petty and paid newspaper poster in black and white: a mock front page with a gothic masthead, a two-line headline reading STAY PRETTY, PETTY & PAID, and a close portrait of a woman with a lollipop.
About the artwork
The face fills most of the page, cropped tight, with freckles visible across the skin. Her bangs reach up into the headline and cover part of the first words, so photo and type feel layered rather than stacked. A white lollipop sits at the corner of her mouth, giving the cool expression a playful twist. Above, a summery weather box mentions sunshine, a slow sail and a high of 87 degrees, next to a Friday, June 14, 2024 dateline. The light gray backdrop keeps the photo soft against the bold type.
Why you'll love it
- A mantra in headline form. Three short words to live by, printed as front-page news.
- Bold from a distance. The tight crop reads clearly from across a room.
- Great in a dressing area. It suits a vanity, a closet wall or a bedroom gallery.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a vanity, a makeup table or a bedroom dresser. A black frame matches the gothic masthead, and white softens the close crop. It pairs naturally with the iconic women front page, which also places a portrait right under the headline.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is her face fully visible? Yes, it is a close crop of her face, with her bangs overlapping part of the headline.
What is in her mouth? A white lollipop, which adds a playful note to the serious pose.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
