This Napa watercolor print shows an old stone winery in Napa Valley, with yellow mustard blooming between the vine rows and hot air balloons overhead. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Napa, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Yellow mustard flowers are dabbed thickly across the foreground, with long yellow and green drips at the lower left and bottom center and yellow and violet splatter around the edges. The bare, twisted vines are drawn in dark brown ink. Mustard yellow, olive and cypress gray-green and vine brown form the palette, with violet-blue hills and terracotta roof tiles as accents. The ivy-covered stone winery sits a little left of center, ringed by tall Italian cypresses, with vine rows running toward it and forested hills behind. Three striped hot air balloons drift in the sky in late winter, when the vines are bare and the mustard is in bloom. "NAPA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Mustard season. Bright yellow mustard fills the vine rows, a sight tied to late winter in the valley.
- Hot air balloons. Three striped balloons float above the hills.
- Vineyard work. A worker in a straw hat prunes vines, and a cyclist rides the country road.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Mustard yellow, olive and soft violet look warm in a kitchen, a dining room or next to a home bar. It's a great gift for a wine lover, a couple who toured Napa on their honeymoon or a new homeowner.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Napa? No. The winery is a general stone building, not a specific estate, and the whole scene is an artistic interpretation of the Napa Valley countryside.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "NAPA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
