This Multnomah Falls watercolor print shows the two-tiered waterfall dropping down a dark basalt cliff in the Columbia River Gorge, with Benson Bridge spanning the gap between the upper and lower falls. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of this Oregon waterfall, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Grey-brown ink picks out the columnar basalt and the shingled roof and stone chimney of Multnomah Falls Lodge. The falls and their spray are left as white paper, and golden maple canopies are built up in overlapping washes. The waterfall sits at the center, seen from the lower viewing area beside the lodge, which stands on the left with its steep roof and viewing terrace. Douglas firs and yellow bigleaf maples line both sides, and a creek running over mossy boulders and a fallen log fills the foreground. The mid-autumn scene breaks into gold and green streaks with drips and splatter at the edges. "MULTNOMAH FALLS" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Lodge and lamp posts. The stone lodge, old-style lamp posts and a crowd on the terrace give the falls a sense of scale.
- Visitors on the bridge. Tiny figures stand on Benson Bridge between the two tiers of white water.
- Autumn in the gorge. Moss green and fir green meet bright golden maples, with grey basalt and white mist in between.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The moss greens and warm golds suit a cozy living room, a reading nook or a cabin-style bedroom with wood furniture. It is a fitting gift for an Oregonian, or for someone who remembers a fall drive through the gorge.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Multnomah Falls? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Multnomah Falls, drawn in a loose watercolor-and-ink style rather than as a precise record of the site.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "MULTNOMAH FALLS," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
