This Minneapolis watercolor print shows the Stone Arch Bridge crossing the Mississippi River beside St. Anthony Falls, with the downtown skyline behind. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Minneapolis, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines draw the row of stone arches, the rust-red steel truss and the windows of the old mill buildings. Snow and floating ice are left as white paper with blue-violet shadows, the river is laid in cold blue horizontal strokes, and bare trees are drawn in brown ink. The palette is limestone gray, ice blue and snow white, accented by the rust-red truss, blue skyscraper glass and faded pink at the edges. The bridge runs across the middle with its steel section at the right end, the falls pour white on the left, and mill ruins and grain elevators fill the middle ground. A stepped blue glass tower rises in the skyline, and a snowy riverside path lined with bare trees runs along the ice-dotted river in midwinter. "MINNEAPOLIS" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.

Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cool grays and icy blues suit a modern living room, an office or a bedroom with white and charcoal decor. It makes a good gift for a Twin Cities native or a former Minneapolis resident who misses winter by the river.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Minneapolis? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Minneapolis, and St. Anthony Falls is painted as a looser, more natural cascade than the real one.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "MINNEAPOLIS," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
