This Marseille flower market wall art print shows a hillside old town rising above a meadow of daisies, poppies and lavender. It is a stylized, imaginative take on Marseille, an artistic interpretation inspired by the city rather than a literal view of its streets.
About the artwork
It is a digital watercolor-style illustration: soft washes underneath, with opaque gouache-like dabs of white for the daisy petals. The palette leans on blue, lavender and white, lifted by sunny yellow, orange-red poppies and deep olive cypress trees. Rooftops and a bell tower with a pointed gold roof sit in the top third, behind a row of tall dark cypresses and a strip of blue water. "FLOWER MARKET" runs across the top in blue, and "Marseille" is handwritten below in lime green.
Why you'll love it
- A Mediterranean meadow. White daisies, red poppies and lavender spill across the whole lower half.
- Real depth. A line of tall cypresses separates the hilltop town from the field in front.
- Light and airy. A pale washed sky and bright white petals keep the mood fresh, not heavy.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in a sunny kitchen, dining room or entryway, where the blue and lavender can echo linen, ceramics or olive-green plants. It is a warm gift for someone who has lived in or traveled to Marseille, or a bright housewarming present.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Marseille? No. It is a stylized artistic interpretation inspired by Marseille, so it will not match the real place exactly. You see a hillside town with a gold-roofed bell tower, cypress trees, a glimpse of blue water and a daisy-filled meadow, composed as a dreamlike scene.
What text is printed on it? "FLOWER MARKET" across the top, "CITIES & FLOWERS COLLECTION" and "NO.059" below the image, and "Marseille" handwritten in script.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
