A coffee wall art print: a line-drawn portrait of a woman in cat-eye glasses raising a cup to her face, under Love at first sip in red script.
About the artwork
The drawing switches between two treatments on the same figure. Hair, knitted sweater and fringed scarf are laid in as solid blocks of cobalt; the hands, face and cup are left as open outline with nothing filled in. That contrast is what makes the portrait read from a distance while still feeling light. She holds the cup with both hands, one steadying the saucer and one raised so it hides the lower half of her face.
Why you'll love it
- A person, not an object. Warmer than another cup-on-a-table print.
- Solid and open together. Reads clearly at small sizes.
- Single-ink calm. Cobalt on grey-cream with one red accent.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
A small red oval label sits on her right shoulder and the words first sip are ringed by a hand-drawn red ellipse — two tiny spots of vermilion that pull a room together if you already have something red in it, a kettle or a stool. Because it is a portrait, it holds its own at 12" x 16" in a narrow spot: beside a coffee machine, at the end of a hallway, or in a home office.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.

Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.

- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
