This Kyoto flower market wall art print sets two tiered pagodas and a red torii gate among jewel-toned trees. It's a stylized, imaginative take on Kyoto, an artistic interpretation inspired by the city rather than a literal view.
About the artwork
A digital watercolor-style illustration that blends washes and gouache-like dabs into a mottled, fairytale texture. Two multi-tiered pagodas and a mountain sit at the top center, with a red torii gate standing on water in the middle. Dense canopies in pink, orange, yellow, purple and turquoise frame both sides, more blossom-like than individual flowers. A golden-orange sky glows above, with "FLOWER MARKET" in orange and "Kyoto" handwritten in lime green.
Why you'll love it
- Fairytale forest. Rainbow canopies give it a magical, storybook feel.
- Classic Japan icons. Pagodas and a torii gate set a calm, peaceful tone.
- Rich, mottled texture. Layered dabs of color reward a closer look.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
It suits a bedroom, reading nook or calm living room with wood, paper lanterns and soft pinks. A lovely gift for someone who has traveled to Japan or dreams of it.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Kyoto? No. It's an artistic interpretation: pagodas, a torii gate on water and colorful trees composed into a dreamlike scene, not an exact view of Kyoto.
What text is printed on it? "FLOWER MARKET" across the top, "CITIES & FLOWERS COLLECTION", "NO.062" and "Kyoto" in handwritten script.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
