This Key West watercolor print shows the Key West Lighthouse and its keeper's quarters on Whitehead Street, lined with red royal poinciana trees and conch houses. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Key West, not an exact view of the island.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines draw the black iron lantern room, the balcony railing and the gingerbread trim on the porches. The white tower is left as bare paper with gray-blue shadows, and the poinciana blossoms are dotted in several layers of red and orange. The palette is royal poinciana red-orange, palm green and lighthouse white, accented by pastel pink conch houses, turquoise sea and silvery tin roofs. The lighthouse stands left of center with its lantern in the upper third, the two-story keeper's quarters with a wide porch sit at its base, and a pink conch house with a wraparound porch is on the right. Whitehead Street runs from the foreground into the middle between flowering trees, with blue water and a small island behind on the right, in early summer. "KEY WEST" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Free-roaming chickens. A rooster and a hen wander across the street.
- Cruiser bikes. Two people pedal beach cruisers past white picket fences.
- Sailboat offshore. A white sailboat drifts on the distant blue water.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".

Styling it at home
The bright reds, greens and whites bring island energy to a sunroom, a beach-house kitchen or a guest bedroom. It is a cheerful gift for someone who loves the Florida Keys or a souvenir of a Key West trip.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Key West? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Key West, and a few details, like the strip of sea behind the street, are added or rearranged for the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "KEY WEST," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
