This Jerusalem watercolor print shows the golden Dome of the Rock and the Old City walls, seen from the Mount of Olives across the valley. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Jerusalem, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Warm, thin washes give the honey-colored stone walls their glow, and fine ink lines draw each course of stone. The gold dome is painted more heavily with bright highlights, olive trees are dabbed in silvery green, and gold and green drips run down the lower left. The palette is Jerusalem limestone, silver olive, dark cypress and gleaming gold, with touches of glazed blue tile. The Dome of the Rock sits at the center, with the grey-silver dome of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the sealed double arch of the Golden Gate on the right, the western hills full of houses behind, and terraced olive and cypress slopes in front. Spring wildflowers in purple and yellow cover the hillside. "JERUSALEM" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Golden dome focal point. The gilded dome glows at the heart of a warm stone panorama.
- Camel and guide. A resting camel with a red saddle blanket waits beside its handler.
- Spring wildflowers. Purple and yellow blooms scatter across the olive terraces.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Honey stone and olive green sit well in a study, a reading corner or a dining room with warm wood and cream walls. It is a meaningful gift for someone returning from a pilgrimage or a trip to the Holy Land.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Jerusalem? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Jerusalem's Old City from the Mount of Olives, painted loosely in watercolor and ink rather than as a precise panorama.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "JERUSALEM," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
