This Jaipur watercolor print shows the pink sandstone facade of Hawa Mahal, with the walls of Nahargarh Fort running along the Aravalli Hills behind. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Jaipur, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines pick out the many jharokha windows, small domes and white-edged arches, and the facade is laid in thin washes of earthy pink. Jaipur pink, leafy green and blue-violet hills form the base, with magenta bougainvillea, saffron and a turquoise auto-rickshaw as accents. The crown-shaped facade fills the center and upper half, the fort walls trace the ridge behind, and a busy market street with awnings cuts across the lower right. A rooftop terrace with umbrellas and bougainvillea frames the lower left, and pink and blue drips soften the edges. "JAIPUR" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Street-level bustle. A camel cart, an auto-rickshaw and women in bright saris share the road.
- Marigold stall. Garland sellers work under the shaded awnings.
- Jharokha windows. Rows of tiny latticed windows are drawn one by one.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The rosy pinks and saffron add warmth to a living room, dining area or bedroom with coral, mustard or teal decor. It is a cheerful gift for someone who traveled through Rajasthan or has family in Jaipur.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Jaipur? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Hawa Mahal and the hills behind it, composed to bring the facade, fort and street together in one scene.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "JAIPUR," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
