This Ichetucknee Springs State Park watercolor print shows the crystal-clear Ichetucknee River winding through shady forest over white sand and green eelgrass. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the Florida spring run, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The river is layered in transparent turquoise and blue, with long green eelgrass strokes under the water and white paper left for light. Fine brown-grey ink outlines the cypress trunks, cypress knees and a turtle. The palette is turquoise, spring blue, eelgrass green and cypress brown, with red-orange tubes and a kayak. The river curves from the foreground deep into the forest, seen from the bank near the head spring looking downstream. Tall bald cypress with Spanish moss, water oaks and cabbage palms lean in from both sides, and layered swamp forest fades into haze. "ICHETUCKNEE SPRINGS" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Tubing the river. People float on inner tubes while a kayak drifts past.
- Glowing clear water. Bright turquoise water is the star of this print.
- Turtle and heron. A turtle suns on a log and a heron stands at the left bank.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The bright aqua and green palette suits a bathroom, a kids' room or a Florida-style living room. It is a cheerful gift for a Gainesville student or anyone who spent a summer day tubing in North Florida.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Ichetucknee Springs State Park? No. It is an artistic watercolor interpretation of the Ichetucknee River, with some details of the springs simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "ICHETUCKNEE SPRINGS," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
