This watercolor heirloom tomatoes print lays out thirteen garden tomato clusters like a botanical chart, with their variety names set neatly underneath.
About the artwork
Each tomato is painted in realistic, softly bleeding watercolor on a textured cream paper, in red, orange, yellow, plum purple and green-red tones with green stems. The clusters are scattered across a rectangle that fills the top two thirds. Below, a fine serif TOMATOES title and a small caps list of eight variety names fill the lower quarter in black.
Why you'll love it
- Three kinds of cherry clusters. A vine of eight red cherry tomatoes, a cluster of six yellow ones and a smaller cluster of four red ones.
- A purple standout. A deep plum Cherokee Purple tomato adds a moody note among the reds and yellows.
- A big ribbed yellow. One large, lobed yellow tomato shows off the shapes heirloom growers love.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it near the stove, above a herb shelf or in a dining nook, where the warm reds pick up terracotta pots and wood boards. A natural oak or white frame keeps the cream paper fresh. It also suits a farm-to-table restaurant, a deli wall or a garden-lover's kitchen.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does it say? "TOMATOES" as the title, then: "Beefsteak · Hillbilly · Brandywine · Cherokee Purple · Sunray · Cherry tomato · Better boy · Celebrity".
Is it a photo? No. Every tomato is hand-painted in watercolor, so you can see soft edges and paper texture.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Damage, defects & care
Every piece is printed for you after you order, so we cannot take a print back for a change of mind — please check the size and material first. Our Size Guide shows every size drawn to scale.

Keep artwork out of direct sunlight. Dust paper prints with a clean, dry cloth; wipe canvas and framed canvas gently with a clean, damp cloth. Handle paper prints by the edges until they are framed. More care tips are in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
