This Heceta Head watercolor print shows Heceta Head Lighthouse on a forested headland above the Pacific, with the arches of Cape Creek Bridge below. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the Oregon coast, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Thin brown ink outlines the lighthouse, the house and the bridge arches. Spruce forest is dabbed in deep green, the sea is layered blue and turquoise with white paper waves, and soft sea mist blurs the far headlands. Spruce green and olive-gold grass meet ocean blue, with the red roof of the keeper's house as a warm accent. The lighthouse sits at upper left, the bridge crosses the middle ground, and a sandy cove and creek mouth lie below right with sea stacks offshore. Golden grasses set it in late summer. "HECETA HEAD" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Misty coast layers. Marine mist softens the distant headlands behind the lighthouse.
- Arched bridge below. The concrete arches of Cape Creek Bridge add graceful curves to the cove.
- Sea stacks offshore. Dark rocks rise from the surf while pelicans glide past.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Deep green and ocean blue suit a Pacific Northwest living room, a reading nook or an office with wood and slate. It is a fine gift for an Oregonian or someone who drove the coast on a summer road trip.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Heceta Head? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Heceta Head. Some details, like where the keeper's house sits, are rearranged for the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "HECETA HEAD," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
