A hair rollers lipstick portrait poster in black and white: a studio photograph of a woman in side profile, her hair set in large rollers, holding a lipstick to her lips.
About the artwork
She faces right, and the clean white backdrop makes her outline very clear. The lipstick hovers just at her lips, caught in the middle of getting ready. Silver hoop earrings and a black tank top keep the styling simple. The big rollers give the head a sculptural shape that reads well even from far away. It feels like a quiet behind-the-scenes moment before a night out.
Why you'll love it
- Perfect for the bathroom. A beauty moment that feels right next to a mirror or sink.
- Bright and clean. The white backdrop keeps a small room light and open.
- Pairs with other portraits. It forms a fun getting-ready set with other monochrome photos.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a bathroom vanity, beside a makeup table or in a bedroom near the closet. A black frame repeats the tank top, and a natural frame softens the white background. Pair it with the curlers and drop earring portrait in this range for a matching two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What color is the background? Plain white, which makes the profile stand out.
Is it safe for a bathroom? Yes as a print, but keep it out of direct splashes and steam; framed canvas holds up best.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
