This Granada, Spain watercolor print shows the Alhambra stretched across a wooded hill, seen from the Mirador de San Nicolás in the Albaicín, with the snowy Sierra Nevada behind. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Granada, Spain, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The Alhambra's walls are washed in pinkish terracotta with fine ink lines on the battlements, dark cypresses are drawn in bold vertical strokes, and almond blossoms are soft pink dots. Dark cypress and olive green lead the palette, with terracotta pink, whitewashed Albaicín houses, pink blossom and blue-violet snowy peaks. The palace complex spans the middle of the picture with the square Comares Tower at its center, and the Sierra Nevada rises behind. In the left foreground, people sit on the mirador wall above white houses, tiled roofs and cypresses that drop toward the valley, and the edges fade into pink washes with a long drip on the left. Almond trees in bloom and snow on the peaks place it in early spring. "GRANADA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Guitarist on the wall. A guitarist in a hat plays on the low wall as young people take in the view.
- Almond blossom season. Pale pink blossoms soften the dark cypress greens.
- Lanterns and swallows. Iron lanterns on white walls and three swallows in the sky add life.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
Olive green and terracotta suit a Spanish-style living room, a study or a hallway with warm white walls. It is a romantic gift for a couple who once sat at that viewpoint, or for a student of Spanish.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Granada, Spain? No. This is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Granada, Spain. The buildings and hills are painted loosely, so treat it as an impression of the view rather than a precise record.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "GRANADA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
