This Geneva watercolor print shows the Jet d'Eau shooting high above Lake Geneva, with St. Pierre Cathedral on the old-town hill and the Bains des Pâquis jetty lighthouse in front. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Geneva, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The water jet is bare white paper with faint blue-gray spray drifting right, the lake is built from horizontal cobalt strokes, and fine ink lines trace the mansard roofs and the small lighthouse. Cobalt blue leads the palette with white spray and sails and cream lakefront buildings, accented by a red Swiss flag, yellow water taxis and the cathedral's green copper spire. The Jet d'Eau rises right of center into the upper third, while the old-town hill with St. Pierre Cathedral and gray-roofed lakefront buildings sits on the left. The stone Pâquis jetty with its lighthouse fills the foreground, and the flat-topped Salève and faint snowy peaks close the background. It is midsummer, and blue drips run down the left edge. "GENEVA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Summer swimmers. Swimmers and sunbathers gather around the stone jetty.
- Sails on the lake. White sailboats and a yellow-and-white water taxi cross the cobalt water.
- Swiss flag accent. A red Swiss flag flies from a pole above the lakefront.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cobalt and crisp white suit a modern living room, a blue-and-white bedroom or a polished office. Give it to a colleague posted to Geneva, a former expat or anyone who has walked the lakefront.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Geneva? No. It is an artistic interpretation that places the fountain, the old town and the jetty together in a single lakeside view.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "GENEVA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
