This Gatlinburg watercolor print shows a mountain town of wood and stone buildings below the misty Great Smoky Mountains, with the rocky Little Pigeon River in the foreground. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Gatlinburg, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines outline the cabins, the river rocks and the pine trees, and bands of bare white paper act as mist between the mountain layers. The water is a clear turquoise with white foam left unpainted. Pine green and misty blue-violet lead the palette, with stone gray, pink rhododendron blossoms and warm cabin browns. A large peak rises at the top center, the town and a white church with a pointed steeple sit in the middle ground, a log cabin with a stone chimney stands to the right, and the boulder-filled river tumbles toward the viewer in small falls. It is early summer, and the left edge fades into pink and moss drips with splatter. "GATLINBURG" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Anglers among boulders. Two people fish in the river as the water spills over small falls.
- Trail and trolley. Two hikers with backpacks set out on a trail while a red-and-green trolley rolls along the road.
- Rhododendron blooms. Pink rhododendrons bloom along both banks of the river.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Its forest greens and soft pinks feel at home in a cabin, a guest bedroom or a cozy living room with plaid, stone or rustic wood. It is a sweet gift for a couple who honeymooned in the Smokies or a family that returns every summer.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Gatlinburg? No. It is an artistic interpretation, and the peaks are drawn more rugged than the real mountains, with the town and river arranged together for the painting.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "GATLINBURG," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
