A floral nursery wall art print of a stylised blue bird in flight, its body decorated with flowers, under the words "Free to Fly".
About the artwork
The purple handwritten words sit at the top, and a large blue bird flies across the middle with its eyes closed. Its body is patterned with flowers, hearts and a crescent moon, and cream stars dot the space around it. The background is a speckled coral pink. It is a cute folk-art digital painting with a dry-brush grain in coral, blue, purple, yellow, red and cream.
Why you'll love it
Uplifting words. "Free to Fly" is a lovely wish for a little one.
Folk-art patterns. Flowers, hearts and a moon decorate the bird.
Bright and happy. Coral and blue make a bold, joyful pair.
Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a crib or a window seat where the flying bird feels at home. The coral and blue go well with floral bedding or soft blue walls. A white frame keeps the speckled coral fresh.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does the lettering say? It reads "Free to Fly" in purple handwriting.
Is the bird's eye open? No, the bird is shown with its eyes closed, peaceful in flight.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Damage, defects & care
Every piece is printed for you after you order, so we cannot take a print back for a change of mind — please check the size and material first. Our Size Guide shows every size drawn to scale.
If it arrives damaged, misprinted or simply wrong, email us within 14 days with photos of the piece and the packaging. We reprint and reship it free, and there is nothing to send back.
Keep artwork out of direct sunlight. Wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Handle paper prints by the edges until they are framed.
Paper is the most affordable option and lets you pick your own frame. Matte canvas adds depth and needs no glass. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang and is the usual choice for a feature wall.
How long will it take to arrive?
Each piece is printed after you order — 3–5 business days to print and finish, then 4–8 business days in transit. Shipping is free across the United States and a flat $5 everywhere else.
Will the colours match what I see on screen?
Printing is colour-managed, so the artwork stays very close to the preview. Paper reads slightly softer than canvas, which holds a touch more contrast.
What size should I order?
As a rule, a single print should cover about two thirds of the furniture it hangs above. Our Wall Art Size Guide has the measurements room by room, and every size available for this design is listed in the Size menu on this page.
