A stacked serif fashion poster in reverse: the word FASHION split into FA, SHI and ON in large white type on a deep charcoal ground.
About the artwork
Three rows of oversized letters fill the sheet edge to edge. The serif has hairline strokes that almost vanish beside its heavy stems, so on the dark ground the thin lines glow and the thick ones read like cut paper. Splitting the word into syllables adds rhythm, as if the poster were being spoken aloud. The dark field makes the letters feel closer to you than they do on white. The design is left plain on purpose, so the type carries all of the drama.
Why you'll love it
- Moody and dramatic. The charcoal ground gives the wall a night-time, evening-out feel.
- Bold enough for big walls. Oversized type keeps the print from getting lost above a large sofa or headboard.
- Pairs with light rooms. A dark poster gives pale walls a strong focal point.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Try it over a bed with white linen, or above a console in an entry with a small lamp. A white frame outlines the dark sheet clearly, and a black frame makes it look like a solid block. Hang it next to the light version of the same design to get a positive and negative pair.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this the same design as the white one? Yes, the lettering and layout match, and only the colors are reversed.
Does the dark background have texture? No, it is a smooth, flat charcoal.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
