An Empire State Building night poster: a black and white photograph of the tower after dark, with a woman's face in profile projected across its upper floors.
About the artwork
The tower rises straight up the center of the frame, with the rest of the skyline kept low and dark around it. The projected profile wraps over the vertical stripes of the facade, so the face and the building seem to merge. Above it, the spire glows bright white against a solid black sky. Little else is lit, which keeps all the attention on that single lit shaft. It feels part city photograph, part portrait.
Why you'll love it
- Moody and dramatic. A night scene that gives a room a cinematic focal point.
- Made for darker walls. It looks striking on charcoal, navy or deep green paint.
- A different take on New York. It skips the usual daytime skyline for something more personal.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in a living room with a leather sofa and low lamp light, or above a bar cabinet. A black frame blends into the night sky and lets the lit tower float, while a white frame adds a crisp edge. Pair it with the New York City letter cutout print for a dark, graphic duo.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Who is the woman on the building? She is an unnamed figure in profile, part of the light projection; the print does not identify anyone.
Is there any text? No, the image has no words or captions.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
