A kitchen wall art print with a face on it: a slice of toast, arms and legs out, three hearts rising, and a pun underneath.
About the artwork
This is the only design in the collection where the food is a character. The crumb is painted in gouache, yellow strokes laid over each other so you can follow the direction of the brush, and the crust is a thick red-brown band around it. A thin mint green line traces the whole slice like a glow, which lifts it off the striped ground. Two short arms and two short legs stick out in the crust colour. The face is minimal — two dot eyes, a curved smile, two oval blush marks — and three pink hearts drift up to the upper left, not in a neat row.
Why you'll love it
- Food with a face. Arms, legs, blushing cheeks and a smile.
- A mint outline. A thin green line traces the slice and makes it glow.
- A pun, delivered plainly. I got a crust on you, in rounded lettering.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cute enough for a child's room and food enough for a kitchen, so it goes either way — a nursery, a kid's breakfast corner, or a kitchen that does not take itself seriously. Butter yellow reads warm against white and pale wood. Natural frames suit it best; black would fight the sweetness.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does it say? “I got a crust on you”, in rounded lettering beneath the toast.
Is it suitable for a child's room? Yes — it is the one design here drawn as a character, with a face and a friendly palette.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
