This Cooperstown watercolor print shows Kingfisher Tower standing on a wooded point in Otsego Lake, with a village steeple on the far shore and hills in full fall color. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Cooperstown, not an exact view of the village.
About the artwork
Fine ink outlines the stone blocks and pointed arch windows of the tower, and the clear blue lake has reflections with ripples left as bare paper. Lake blue leads the palette, surrounded by orange, red and gold forest, pine green, gray stone, a wooden boat and white sails. The Gothic stone tower sits on a tree-covered point left of center and reaches into the upper part of the print. A village with a white steeple and boathouses lines the far shore on the right, and the foreground is a rocky bank with birches and a small dock. It is mid-autumn, and the left edge dissolves into orange, red and pink with drips. "COOPERSTOWN" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Gothic lake tower. The small stone tower is drawn with careful ink on its blocks and arches.
- On the water. A classic wooden motorboat, a single sculler and a white sailboat share the lake.
- Hills on fire. Red, orange and gold trees ring the lake under a pale sky.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The clear blue and fall colors suit a lake house, a family room or a bedroom with warm wood and cream. Give it to someone who visits upstate New York each fall or to a couple who married by the lake.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Cooperstown? No. This is an artistic interpretation of Cooperstown, and the tower's size and roof are simplified for the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "COOPERSTOWN," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
