This Canterbury, England watercolor print shows Canterbury Cathedral and the tall Bell Harry Tower rising over the River Stour, with the black-and-white Old Weavers' House at the water's edge. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Canterbury, England, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines pick out the Gothic details of the towers and the dark timber frames of the Tudor house, while the river is washed in turquoise with soft reflections. Pale limestone beige, turquoise water, willow green and reddish-brown roof tiles form the palette, with pink climbing roses and flower baskets as accents. The Bell Harry Tower stands right of center, the shorter west towers sit to the left, a two-arch stone bridge crosses the middle ground, and a weeping willow hangs on the left. The roses in bloom mark early summer. Moss-green drips fall from the lower left, with pink and green splatter around the edges. "CANTERBURY" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Punt on the Stour. A boatman poles a flat-bottomed boat carrying three passengers.
- Tudor flower baskets. Hanging baskets spill from the windows of the timber-framed house.
- Busy stone bridge. A walker and a cyclist cross the old two-arch bridge.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
Its soft beige, turquoise and rose tones look at home in a dining room, a guest bedroom or a hallway with warm white walls. Consider it for a Kent native, a former student in the city or a couple who honeymooned in England.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Canterbury, England? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Canterbury, England in a watercolor style, so the cathedral, house and bridge are grouped for the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "CANTERBURY," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
