This Cambridge, England watercolor print shows King's College Chapel and the Gibbs Building across the River Cam, with Clare College Bridge and a punt on the water. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Cambridge, England, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine, dense ink traces the pointed windows and pinnacles of the cream limestone chapel over pale beige washes, willows hang in soft vertical green strokes, and the river shows horizontal blue strokes with reflections. Willow green and cream stone lead the palette, with river blue, white wildflowers and cornflower blue at the edges. The chapel with its great windows and four corner towers stands left of center, the classical Gibbs Building sits to the right, and the three-arched Clare College Bridge with stone balls on its parapet crosses the middle ground. The river bends toward the foreground past weeping willows and a wildflower meadow on the Backs, and long blue-violet and yellow drips fall from the lower left edge. Willows in full leaf place it in early summer. "CAMBRIDGE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Punting on the Cam. A punter stands with a pole on a wooden punt.
- Quiet riverside moments. Two ducks swim and students read on the grass.
- Wildflower edges. White wildflowers and cornflower blue soften the borders.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".

- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Fresh greens and cream fit a bedroom, a nursery or a sunny breakfast nook with white walls. It is a gift for a Cambridge graduate, a visiting scholar or anyone who loved an afternoon on the river there.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Cambridge, England? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Cambridge, England. The chapel, bridge and riverbank are painted loosely into one scene, so some details differ from the real view.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "CAMBRIDGE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
