This Cairo watercolor print shows the Pyramids of Giza, with the Pyramid of Khafre at the center and a camel caravan crossing the sand below. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Cairo, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Sandy gold washes cover the pyramid faces, with fine ink lines marking rows of stone and the capstone of Khafre left pale cream. The foreground sand shifts from light to deep orange-gold, and a drip plus purple and blue splatter mark the lower left. The palette is limestone honey and desert sand against pale blue sky and a hazy city, with earthy orange saddles and palm green as accents. Khafre stands in the center, the Great Pyramid of Khufu sits behind on the right, and the smaller Pyramid of Menkaure with a few even smaller pyramids sits in front on the left, all seen from high ground to the southwest. The Cairo skyline with faint minarets lines the horizon. "CAIRO" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Three great pyramids. Khafre, Khufu and Menkaure are layered from front to back.
- Camel caravan. Riders in white galabeyas and walkers lead camels across the dunes.
- City on the horizon. A faint Cairo skyline with minarets appears beyond the plateau.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Sand, gold and soft blue fit a living room with warm neutrals, a home library or an office with leather and wood. It is a fine gift for a history lover or anyone who has ridden out to Giza.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Cairo? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the Giza plateau and the Cairo skyline, arranged as one watercolor composition rather than a measured view.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "CAIRO," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
