A kitchen wall art print: a plate of dumplings seen from above in fine black ink, with bon appetit brushed across the lower half in red.
About the artwork
The dumplings are not arranged in a neat ring — they spiral inward, which is what keeps the plate from looking like a diagram. Dense curved parallel strokes describe the pleats in each wrapper, and the rim of the plate carries a run of short dashes. The dipping bowl is the darkest thing on the sheet: a solid black mass with a few white strokes left in, and it sits inside the plate rather than beside it. A pair of chopsticks lies vertically to the left. A cobalt oval label reading dumplings is stuck at the lower right of the rim.
Why you'll love it
- A spiral, not a circle. The arrangement has movement built in.
- Fine ink under heavy type. Two very different hands on one sheet.
- Dumplings, drawn seriously. A rare subject done with care.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The pleat detail wants a size where it stays readable, so 16 x 24 and up. It hangs well in a kitchen, a dining nook, or beside a takeaway corner, and it pairs with the Dumplings Lover Club print, which treats the same subject in three bright inks instead of black.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.

Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
