This Bled watercolor print shows the white Church of the Assumption on Bled Island, with Bled Castle on its cliff to the right and snowy peaks of the Julian Alps beyond. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Bled, not an exact view of the town or lake.
About the artwork
The lake is washed in emerald and turquoise with horizontal strokes and a white reflection of the bell tower. Fine ink lines draw the bell tower, the long stone stairway up the island and the castle on its rock face. Pines and limestone ledges in the foreground are painted in yellow-green and gray-violet, framing the view. The island sits a little left of center, with pletna boats on the open water and red-roofed villas along the shore. It is a late-summer scene, with orange and blue drips on the left edge and dotted color at the base. "BLED" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Striped pletna boats. Wooden pletna boats with red-and-white striped canopies cross the lake.
- Island stairway. A long stone stairway climbs from the landing to the island church.
- Emerald lake palette. Deep emerald water, pine green and white are set off by red roof accents.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The cool emerald and green palette fits a bathroom, bedroom or home office with white, gray or natural wood. It is a fitting gift for hikers, lake lovers or anyone who rowed out to Bled Island.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Bled? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Lake Bled, and a few details are simplified, so the shoreline and castle colors differ slightly from the real place.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "BLED," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
