A figure sketch wall art print of a robed figure drawn in quick black ink strokes, holding a long staff, on a beige ground with the fine horizontal weave of silk.
About the artwork
The figure stands in the center, seen from behind and turned slightly, with a round head and a long robe that falls to the ground. One hand grips the top of a tall staff that crosses the body diagonally. At the waist the robe is tied, with a knotted bow at the hip drawn in curling strokes. The brush often runs dry, leaving broken lines, and a few loose marks behind suggest a doorway or a post. A faint blue-gray wash sits to the left.
Why you'll love it
- A lot said with a few strokes. The pose is clear with almost no detail.
- Quiet and contemplative. A calm figure for a calm room.
- Silk-like ground. The fine horizontal weave adds warmth.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in a reading corner, a hallway or a bedroom with linen and dark wood. It suits Japandi rooms with low furniture and stoneware. A black or espresso frame echoes the ink; natural oak keeps it light. It pairs well with other black ink sketches in the range.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is there any text or seal? No, there is no text, seal or signature.
Is it printed on silk? No, it is printed on matte paper or canvas; the silk weave is part of the image.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
